Macklemore and Ryan Lewis Sign for Vegas Residency


After an impressive night at the Grammys, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have landed a Las Vegas residency. They will perform at the Wynn Resorts Encore Beach Club and Surrender Nightclub, during this summer. The two will perform on May 25 for Memorial Day weekend as well as July 4th.

Lewis will also be DJing solo at the nightclub for a few dates.

Motley Crue Announces Farewell Tour


After 33 years, metal band Motley Crue have announced they are calling it quits, but first they are going on a huge nationwide tour. Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and Mick Mars will join Alice Cooper on a 72-date farewell tour. It will kick off on July 2nd in Grand Rapids, Michigan and will last until November 21st.

The band decided to retire while the original four were still a part of it. The members signed a Cessation Of Touring Agreement which will prevent anyone from performing under the Motley Crue name.

The band formed in 1981 and are known for their popular hits, "Girls, Girls, Girls," "Dr. Feelgood," "Kickstart My Heart," and many others.

Ringo Starr Announces Tour with All Starr Band


After an awesome performance with Paul McCartney at the Grammys, Ringo Starr has announced another leg of his North American tour. It will begin on June 6th in Ontario and will continue until July 19th.

He will be joined with his All Starr Band for the tour. The band includes Steve Lukather, Richard Page, Gregg Rolie, Todd Rundgren, and Gregg Bissonette. The grouped last toured with Starr back in 2012.


Starr will spend his 74th birthday out on tour on July 7th. He will be in Los Angeles at the time and has invited everyone to join him at the Peace and Love party. More information about the event will be released soon.

Jack Johnson Announces Summer Tour



Singer Jack Johnson has announced he will be heading out on tour this summer in support of his latest album, From Here To Now To You. The tour kicks off on May 20th in St. Augustine, Florida and will run until September 1st.  Johnson will also be performing at the Firefly Music Festival and Hangout Music Festival this summer.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Amos Lee, Michael Kiwanuka, ALO, and Bahamas will be joining Johnson.

Jack Johnson's latest album, From Here To Now To You, was released in September of 2013. It was his third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. It sold 117,000 copies during the first week it was released.

John Legend Announces Tour



John Legend has announced he will be heading out on tour this year. He stated that the performances will be intimate and acoustic; there will also be a string quartet. The performances will take place in theaters all over North America.

 The "All of Me Tour," kicks off on March 20th in Temecula, California and will include performances at 46 various theaters before it wraps up on June 7th in Virginia.

The tour is in support of Legend's of his fourth album, Love in the Future. The album is currently at the number 10 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Legend is a nine-time Grammy winner.

Avicii Announces #TRUETOUR



DJ Avicii has announced he will be heading out on tour this spring. He plans to visit North American arenas during his #TRUETOUR. It is set to kick off on April 10th in Boston at TD Garden. He will also visit New York City, Chicago, Toronto, Phoenix, and Washington D.C. So far Avicii has announced seven dates, but plans to add more.

Avicii will also be performing at festivals throughout this year. He is going to be a headliner at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Florida.


Avicii is known for his single, "Wake Me Up," which was on his debut album True.

Chicago and REO Speedwagon Touring Together



Rock legends Chicago and REO Speedwagon have announced they will be touring together this summer. The tour kicks off August 2nd, in Phoenix, Arizona and lasts throughout the month of August. So far the bands have announced tour dates until August 31st, but more may be announced.



Both bands are originally from Illinois and both were very successful during the 80's and 90's. Yet the two groups have never toured or performed together before.

Music Festivals of 2014



Although we are in the middle of winter right now, it is time to start thinking about summertime festivals. A lot of lineups have already been announced and Ticket Club is here to help you decide which ones you should attend this year! Here are nine notable festivals to get you in the spirit:

  • Coachella: April 11-13, April 18-20 in Indio, California
    • First festival to snag a newly reunited OutKast

  • Vans Warped Tour: June 14-August 3, all over North America 
    • The tour stops in over 40 cities, making it a little different than your average festival. However, most of the bands ride out the entire tour. 
    • Lineup includes: The Devil Wears Prada, Mayday Parade, Anberlin, and many more. 
  • Hangout Music Festival: May 16-18 in Gulf Shores, Alabama 
    • The festival features a Thursday night pre-party with Girl Talk on May 15. 
    • Lineup includes: The Black Keys, The Killers, OutKast, Jack Johnson, Modest Mouse, The Avett Brothers, Pretty Lights, Tegan and Sara, Fitz and the Tantrums, Bastille, Portugal The Man, and lots more! 
  • Newport Folk Festival: July 25-27 at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island 
    • The unique environment of Fort Adams and the surrounding water provides for one of the coolest festival experiences. 
    • Lineup is yet to be announced but last year's festival included: Beck, The Lumineers, The Avett Brothers, Jim James, Old Crow Medicine Show, and others. 
  • Firefly Music Festival: June 19-22 in Dover, Delaware
    • This is a newer festival that just kicked off in 2012. This festival is unique because it allows concert goers an extra day of music! 
    • Lineup includes: Foo Fighters, OutKast, Jack Johnson, Imagine Dragons, Pretty Lights, The Lumineers, Arctic Moneys, Weezer,  Girl Talk, Cage the Elephant, Grouplove, and so many more! 
  • Governor's Ball: June 6-8, Randall's Island Park, New York 
    • The 2013 festival went on through a tropical storm! Hopefully this year the weather is better, as the festival is rain or shine. 
    • Lineup includes: OutKast, The Strokes, Vampire Weekend, Jack White, Skrillex, Foster the People, The Naked and Famous, Bastille, and tons more! 
  • Ultra Music Festival: March 28-30 in Miami, Florida 
    • EDM Festival
    • Lineup includes: Afrojack, Avicii, David Guetta, Kaskade, Tiesto, Zedd
  • Sasquatch! Festival: May 23-25, July 4-6 in Gorge, Washington 
    • The 2013 festival sold out in 90 minutes! This year is takes place during two holiday weekends.

Jason Aldean Announces Burn It Down Tour



Country singer Jason Aldean announced he will be heading out on tour this year. The "Burn It Down," tour kicks off May 1st in Roanoke, VA. Aldean is partnering with Major League Baseball for his tour and will be performing at baseball stadiums all over the country. The tour will include 50 dates and will include both stadiums and arenas.

Tyler Farr will open for Aldean and Florida Georgia Line will also be joining the tour.

Jason Aldean has recently been nominated for the Grammy for the best country album for his fifth and most recent album, "Night Train."

Bruno Mars Announces More Tour Dates


Billboard's 2013 Artist of the Year, Bruno Mars, has announced even more tour dates for his Moonshine Jungle Tour. Pharrell will join him for five of the performances in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. The new leg of the tour kicks off on May 27th in Fresno, California. Before this performance, Mars will play two shows in April in his hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Aloe Blacc will open for Mars between May 27th and July 20th. Blacc was the singer for Avicii's, "Wake Me Up," track. The tour will run until August 17th.

Bruno Mars is currently preparing for the halftime show at the Super Bowl XLVIII where he will be joined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Katy Perry Announces North American Tour Dates



Katy Perry has just announced the dates for her massive North American tour! This portion of the Prismatic World Tour will kick off on June 22nd in Raleigh, North Carolina. Performances will extend all throughout the summer until October 10th. Capital Cities, Kacey Musgraves, and Tegan and Sara will be joining Perry for some of her shows.

The four month North American tour will feature 46 performances.

Katy Perry herself helped design the appearance of the stage so that all concert-goers can experience the magical show.

Paramore and Fall Out Boy Announce "Monumentour"


Paramore and Fall Out Boy have announced they will be touring together this summer. They are calling the tour, "Monumentour 2014," and will feature special guests New Politics. The tour kicks off on June 19th in Hartford, Connecticut and runs until August 17th in Concord, California.

Luke Bryan Announces Continuation of My Kind of Night Tour



Country singer Luke Bryan surprised fans today by announcing a second leg to his, "That's My Kind of Night," tour. The tour will kick off on May 3rd and continue into the summer until October 25th. Cole Swindell and Lee Brice will continue performing with Bryan.

Stadiums have also been added into the venues lists. He will be playing at the Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, PA on June 21st with Dierks Bentley.

The singer has eight number one singles and has sold over 4 million records.

Dave Matthews Band Announces Summer Tour


The band is back again- and this time they are going on a MASSIVE summer tour! Dave Matthews Band has just announced they will be hitting the road starting May 16th, for their annual summer tour. The band is calling the tour, "A Very Special Evening With Dave Matthews Band." They will play both electric and acoustic songs, which will include special performances by Tim Reynolds.

Dave Matthews Band will be touring from May 16th in Texas until September 6th in California. Some venues will feature two performances. The band will also be performing three shows at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington, for their traditional Labor Day concerts. These shows will also feature other artists who will perform at the, "Caravan Stage."

iHeartRadio Country Festival



The first ever iHeartRadio Country Festival is set to take place on March 29th in Austin, Texas at the Frank Erwin Center. Although there have been many other iHeartRadio Festivals, there was not an annual country festival. The folks at Clear Channel Media and Entertainment group listened to the fans and decided to create a festival just for country stars and their fans.

The festival will feature some of the biggest country performers such as: Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, and many others! For those who can't attend, the event will be broadcasted on Clear Channel radio stations and will also be streamed on the iHeartRadio website.

Rob Thomas Announces a Spring Tour


Rob Thomas, the singer and songwriter of the band Matchbox Twenty, has announced a solo tour for the upcoming spring. Thomas will spend a month on the road, kicking off the tour on April 2nd in Temecula, CA. The tour will provide fans a chance to experience a more up close and personal setting with Thomas.

Thomas was recently on a sold-out world tour with Matchbox Twenty. The tour was in support of their album, "NORTH."  The album debut at number one. Thomas himself has become one of the best known vocalists and songwriter. He has been recognized both for his involvement with the band as well as his solo career. In 2004 Thomas received the first ever "Starlight Award," from the Songwriters Hall of Fame. This award recognizes artists who have already made an impact on the music scene, even in the early years of their careers. He also earned three Grammy Awards for his song, "Smooth," which featured Santana.

His latest solo album is Cradlesong. The album features the number one songs, "Someday," and "Her Diamonds." Thomas is currently working on his third solo album.

Coachella 2014 Lineup Announced


California's Coachella Valley Music Arts and Festival will spread out over two weekends: April 11-13 and April 18-20. It was announced that OutKast will reunite and headline the festival. The two members have not been together since 2007.

Other popular performers include: Arcade Fire, Muse, Lorde, Calvin Harris, Lana Del Rey, Skrillex, and Ellie Goulding.

Goo Goo Dolls Add Canadian Dates to Tour


Alternative rock group the Goo Goo Dolls have announced they will be adding on a Canadian leg to their 2014 tour.

Currently the band is taking a break before performing on February 1st in Atlantic City at the House of Blues. The Canadian extension of the tour begins February 17th in Montreal. They will play for 14 shows.

Their tour is in support of their latest album, "Magnetic." This is the band's tenth studio album and it was released in June of 2013. It reached number eight on The Billboard 200 list and number two on Billboard's Top Rock Albums chart.

Jennifer Nettles Announces Solo Tour


Lead singer of the country band Sugarland, Jennifer Nettles, has announced she will be heading out on tour this year. The tour is in support of her solo album, "That Girl," which is set to be released on January 14th. The tour will kick off on Valentine's Day, February 14th, in Washington, D.C. Thirteen dates have been announced so far.


Nettles will also be performing at the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California on April 26th. She will also be a part Country Jam USA in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Allman Brothers Band Set to Perform at Beacon Theatre


After 45 years of being together, the Allman Brothers Band are still performing. The band's next step is heading to the Beacon Theatre in New York for ten performances. The shows kick off on March 7th and will run until March 22. This is not their first time at the Beacon. The band has played more than 220 times at the venue since 1989. The shows are always sold out. 

The band will also be performing on April 19th and 20th at the Wanee Music Festival in Live Oak, Florida. 

The Allman Brothers Band not only were inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but they also received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

2014 Theater Shows



Start your new year off right by seeing one of these Broadway productions:


  • Aladdin: Disney's Aladdin will begin on February 26th, 2014 at the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York. Currently the production is live at the Ed Mirvish Theatre in Toronto, Canada until January 5th, 2014. The performance is based on the original animated film and was produced by the Disney Theatrical Productions. 
  • Beautiful- The Carole King Musical: This musical follows the life of singer and songwriter Carole King. The production is selling tickets to previews right now, with the opening night occurring on January 12th, 2014. Performances are taking place at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in New York. The musical premiered in San Francisco to a sold out theater. 
  • Hedwig and the Angry Inch: Neil Patrick Harris will star as Hedwig Robinson, the transgender lead singer of a rock band. Previews start on March 29th, 2014 at the Belasco Theatre in New York. 
  • Rocky: The Broadway production follows the story of boxer Rocky Balboa on his journey against Apollo Creed. Previews begin February 11, 2014 at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York. The play officially opens on March 13th. 
  • Les Miserables: The popular, award winning musical is set to return to Broadway on March 1st, 2014 at the Imperial Theatre in New York. The official opening night is later in the month on March 23rd. 
  • Bullets Over Broadway: Written by Woody Allen, the story follows the life of a new playwright when he first arrives on Broadway in the 1920's. The play will feature Zach Braff who is best known for his part on the television show, Scrubs. Previews for the show begin on March 1st, 2014 at the St. James Theatre in New York. 
  • Heathers-The Musical: The musical tells the story of the original mean girls, which were first introduced in the film in 1989. Previews of the play begin on March 17th, 2014 at the New World Stages in New York. "What's your damage?!"
