Jennifer Nettles Announces Solo Tour


Lead singer of the country band Sugarland, Jennifer Nettles, has announced she will be heading out on tour this year. The tour is in support of her solo album, "That Girl," which is set to be released on January 14th. The tour will kick off on Valentine's Day, February 14th, in Washington, D.C. Thirteen dates have been announced so far.


Nettles will also be performing at the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California on April 26th. She will also be a part Country Jam USA in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Allman Brothers Band Set to Perform at Beacon Theatre


After 45 years of being together, the Allman Brothers Band are still performing. The band's next step is heading to the Beacon Theatre in New York for ten performances. The shows kick off on March 7th and will run until March 22. This is not their first time at the Beacon. The band has played more than 220 times at the venue since 1989. The shows are always sold out. 

The band will also be performing on April 19th and 20th at the Wanee Music Festival in Live Oak, Florida. 

The Allman Brothers Band not only were inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but they also received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

2014 Theater Shows



Start your new year off right by seeing one of these Broadway productions:


  • Aladdin: Disney's Aladdin will begin on February 26th, 2014 at the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York. Currently the production is live at the Ed Mirvish Theatre in Toronto, Canada until January 5th, 2014. The performance is based on the original animated film and was produced by the Disney Theatrical Productions. 
  • Beautiful- The Carole King Musical: This musical follows the life of singer and songwriter Carole King. The production is selling tickets to previews right now, with the opening night occurring on January 12th, 2014. Performances are taking place at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in New York. The musical premiered in San Francisco to a sold out theater. 
  • Hedwig and the Angry Inch: Neil Patrick Harris will star as Hedwig Robinson, the transgender lead singer of a rock band. Previews start on March 29th, 2014 at the Belasco Theatre in New York. 
  • Rocky: The Broadway production follows the story of boxer Rocky Balboa on his journey against Apollo Creed. Previews begin February 11, 2014 at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York. The play officially opens on March 13th. 
  • Les Miserables: The popular, award winning musical is set to return to Broadway on March 1st, 2014 at the Imperial Theatre in New York. The official opening night is later in the month on March 23rd. 
  • Bullets Over Broadway: Written by Woody Allen, the story follows the life of a new playwright when he first arrives on Broadway in the 1920's. The play will feature Zach Braff who is best known for his part on the television show, Scrubs. Previews for the show begin on March 1st, 2014 at the St. James Theatre in New York. 
  • Heathers-The Musical: The musical tells the story of the original mean girls, which were first introduced in the film in 1989. Previews of the play begin on March 17th, 2014 at the New World Stages in New York. "What's your damage?!"

Carly Rae Jepsen Heading to Broadway


Carly Rae Jepsen is famous for her hit single, "Call Me Maybe," but she is now heading to Broadway. Jepsen will be Cinderella in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, at the Broadway Theatre in New York. She will take over the role starting on February 4, 2014 and will perform for twelve weeks. Before she began singing, Jepsen performed in various musicals such as Annie and Grease, while she was in high school. She also went to the Canadian College of Performing Arts.

Jepsen introduced herself to the music scene in 2012 when she released her debut album, Kiss. "Call Me Maybe," quickly reached #1 on the Billboard charts and remained in that position for nine weeks. She was nominated for two Grammy awards and also won Best New Artist during the American Music Awards.

Fran Drescher who is known for her role on The Nanny will also be a part of the cast. She will be playing Cinderella's stepmother.

Bruno Mars to Perform at the Super Bowl

Bruno Mars, who was just recently named Billboard's 2013 artist of the year, will perform at the 2014 Super Bowl halftime show.


The Super Bowl XLVIII will take place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on February 2nd. Mars will be a part of a very special Super Bowl. This is the first outdoor, cold weather Super Bowl game. It is also being hosted by both New York and New Jersey making it the first game to be hosted by two states.

It has been predicted that Bruno Mars will put on a great show. His performances often feature a full band while Mars himself plays the guitar. The only challenge for the singer will be the cold temperatures. 

Mars has been nominated for four Grammy Awards, which will air a week before the big game. His nominations include song and record of the year.
